Summary 2012

In 2012 , the project was focused for the design ,smulation and fabrication of a coplanar waveguide on graphene (see SEM photo below)

We have measured the CPW waveguide in the range 0.04-110 GHz at various DC voltages in range -4V-+4V. We have see that the transmission is modified at various dc voltages. We have seen that the circuit corresponding to these measurements is an RC parallel circuit. The resitance is varying in the range 40-75 Ω while the capacitance is 200 fF. This demonstrate that graphene is a genuine matching circuit , in contrast to other nanomaterials having impedances of few Ωk.

For this paper we have received the letter below:

Dear D. Dragoman,
It is my privilege to inform you that your paper "Graphene radio: Detecting radiowaves with a single atom sheet " is included to the special edition (50th Anniversary) of Applied Physics Letters’ “Editor’s Picks”, as one of the most notable APL articles published in recent years. As such, your paper will be freely available to the community for a year (until the end of September 2013). A complete list of the highlighted articles can be found under: http://apl.aip.org/50th_anniversary_editors_picks
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyal support of our journal and I am looking forward to receiving more manuscripts with exciting science from your group in the near future.
Yours sincerely,
