Project description: Development of a chip for the noninvasive detection of the SRY gene using the technology of the surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The chip is going to have a chemical modified surface with advanced 2D nanomaterials such as graphene or MoS2 in order to increase the detection limit to pM and a bigger specificity as the biochip has immobilized DNA sequences specific to the gene of interest. At the end of the project a biochip will be developed together with a working protocol for a new type of non-invasive analysis for the early prenatal diagnosis.
Proposed achieving indicators:
- 1 working protocol
- 1 working methodology
- workshop organization
- 3 job offers
- 5 physical objects
- informed consent
- 2 ISI/ non-ISI publications
- 1 brevet form
- 5 unoccupied full-time positions
