Phys. Florea Craciunoiu (florea.craciunoiu@imt.ro)

He received M.Sc. degree in physics (1972) at Bucharest University and is senior researcherFrom 1993 to 1994, he was head of CMOS technology department from Microelectronica SA Bucharest, and since 1994 to 2002, deputy director (technical director) of IMT Bucharest.

His technical skills and competences cover: (i) micro- and nanotechnologies on silicon and nanostructured thin films; (ii) technological processes for MEMS device fabrication and laboratory-on-a-chip systems (silicon planar technology, photolithographic processes) for applications in many interdisciplinary areas, as biomedicine and environmental monitoring; (iii) Schottky diodes based on silicon carbide.

He is the IMT principal investigator in two national funded research projects (PN II-PCCA) “High Temperature Silicon Carbide (SiC) Smart Sensor for Harsh Environment Industrial Applications”, (2012-2014); “Environmental toxic and flammable gas detector based on silicon carbide MOS sensor array”, PN II-PCCA tip 2 (2012-2014) and also FP7-MNT-ERA project “Nanostructurated carbonaceous films for cold emitters – NANOCAFE” (2008-2011) with partners from Poland: Industrial Institute of Electronics Warsaw, Kielce University of Technology and Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics Warsaw.
