IEEE sponsorship and international editions of CAS Conference
Do you know the year when the CAS conference became an IEEE event? Or the year when it became an international event? Explore some of the conference milestones to find the answer:
1978. The first conference edition took place, with the initial title: "Conferinta Anuala de Semiconductoare", acronym: CAS (Annual Semiconductor Conference). The first editions were organized by the Institute of Research for Electronic Components (ICCE), Romania.
1991. CAS was opened to the international scientific community and changed its name accordingly to the International Semiconductor Conference.
1995. CAS became an official event of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS)!
1997. Starting this year, the conference has been organized by the National Institute for R&D in Microtechnologies - IMT Bucharest, which resulted from the merge of IMT Institute of Microtechnology and ICCE.
Learn About IEEE Membership and IEEE EDS Membership! When you join IEEE, you join a community of more than 460,000 technology and engineering professionals united by a common desire to continuously learn, interact, collaborate, and innovate!
