Head of laboratory —Dr. Ileana Cernica (

Ileana Cernica
head of the Ambiental Technology Laboratory. She received MSc. on Electronics and Telecommunication  and PhD in Microelectronics both from University "POLITEHNICA" of Bucharest.

She worked as senior integration engineer in CMOS IC’s technologies, CMOS RD activities and as AQ responsible in the sole Romanian CMOS IC’s industrial company for 10 years.  Now she is senior research I scientist at National Institute for Research and Development in Microtechnologies, currently coordinates national R&D projects and was responsible person in EUREKA Umbrella project MINATUSE (UP TO 2010) and Romanian-German Centre for Micro and Nanotechnology Project. She is project evaluator in national RD programs (CEEX, CNCSIS PNCDI II), and MNT-ERANET: IEEE member and associate professor at University "Politehnica" of Bucharest (Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunication and Information Technology- OMEMS course in master study). Her scientific activity was published in more than 72 papers in international journals/conferences, 110 technical reports and is author or coauthor of 12 Romanian patents (3 of them won silver, 1 gold medal at International Inventions Exhibition in Brussels and Geneva and 2 bronze medals International Exhibition "Ideas-Inventions-Novelties"Nurnberg) and 3 books.


Andrei Ghiu (

Andrei-Dan Ghiu received the M.Sc (july 2004) in Modelation and simulation of mobile mechanical systems from “Polytehnica” University of Bucharest. His main activities and responsabilities are: Simulation of microchips, microelectronic research and welding machine techniques or other projects under development.


Florian Pistritu (

Florian Pistritu received the BSC (2002) in Electronics and Telecommunications from “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, Romania. He is Electronics engineer. His main activities and responsibilities are: Implementation of test and characterization methods sensors, Design schemes and electronic applications required in various research topics..
