¤ Objectives

Technical objectives:

  • Simulation and modelling of the MEMS harvester;
  • Design, Fabrication and testing of MEMS devices for energy harvesting;
  • Design and fabrication of power harvesting circuitry and storage medium;
  • Integration of MEMS device with piezoelectric material deposition and patterning and harvesting circuitry;
  • Piezoelectric materials synthesizing, deposition technique optimization and characterization;
  • Technology demonstration and harvester prototyping.


The general objectives of the project, in correlation with the Call 2013:

  • development of new and improved material systems for efficient energy harvesting, and energy storage;
  • international cooperation, multidisciplinarity, and socio-economic benefits.
