Abstract

The main goal of the project proposed by 5 partners, from different institutions (national research institutes, universities), with an interdisciplinary expertise is the realization of a critical mass at national level in the field of micromechanical structures, microrobotics and manipulation of biological cells. The consortium will spread excellence, overcome fragmentation, creating a long term national integration in the domain.

The project address to specific thematic areas: 3.1, 4.1, 3.2.3.

The consortium will commonly use the existent infrastructure.

The project will experiment and develop new sensors and actuators, new micromachining processes, based on surface and bulk micromachining, on new materials (SU8 and others), for microrobotics, assembling and biological manipulation.

The results will facilitate the participation in EU FP 7 projects.
