Angela Baracu, Phd.

 

Academic Biography

Angela Baracu is a Scientific Researcher (Grade A) in the Nano-Scale Structuring and Characterization Laboratory at the National Institute for Research and Development in Microtechnologies- IMT Bucharest. Angela studied Electronics and later completed a PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications in 2018 at Politehnica University of Bucharest (UPB), Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology. In 2013, Angela joined the IMT Bucharest as a Research Assistant in microsystems, and since 2024, she has been a Scientific Researcher Grade A in Materials Science and Engineering. Angela’s research focuses on advanced sensor technologies for environmental monitoring, with a special interest in photonic sensors, surface acoustic wave devices, and MEMS development using emerging fabrication techniques and novel materials.
